“Tumio” is an indie pop song written and performed by Jay Das and produced by As oMIX. This collaboration precedes Jay’s debut album ‘Fun While It Lasted’ set for release on Sept 20th. Originating from Dhaka, Bangladesh Jay moved to the United States in 2018 and released his first single a year after. His style has evolved over the years. As a producer he blends genres into a style unique to his own, as a writer he expresses his personal vulnerabilities as well as tackle relevant societal challenges and as a performer he channels his folk and classical roots with belting crescendos and delicate falsettos. His efforts have slowly garnered a modest but dedicated following who await his first full length project.

This single “Tumio” showcases Jay’s ability to adapt as he weaves through the infectious beat by AS oMIX. He also plays the guitar on the song adding an indie element to it.

The song speaks about the intoxicating nature of infatuation, even when unreciprocated. In the absence of which one might relapse into a whirlwind of emotions. The pursuit of love can lead people down a questionable path and the relatable words of the song are wrapped in a catchy tune and a memorable chorus you are sure to hum after a couple listens.
